I’ve read on various motorcycle build blogs that I’ll end up disassembling and reassembling my bike multiple times before it’s finally finished. So far this is true.
What you see in the picture is the rolling frame of Onyx 001 a 1979 Honda CB750K.
I’ve got the front forks on (a little lowered), the tank, 1 rear shock and a cardboard seat cutout.
This is all to layout where the lines will fall. I’m roughing in how I want the bike to look as an overall picture. It’s got to look even and tight, not “thrown together”.
I’ve got a long way to go, but it’s a start.
Hey Mark,
Going to be great!
Is 1979 still single overhead cam?
Thanks Evan! The 79 CB750K is a dual overhead cam (DOHC). Honda ran the SOHC up until 78.
